Hello Monday! I hope everyone had a good weekend. The weather has been pretty spectacular the past week (with some rain here and there) and I hope it continues through this weekend for the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler! Today I am linking up with Tara at Running n’ Reading for her Weekend Update.

I had the PRR Algonkian Park Trail Run on my calendar for this weekend, but I decided to give myself a little break after Shamrock and the Love Run (and kept my overall mileage low). The fitness highlight of the week was my Saturday training session. It was a tough workout and I am glad I completed it (a leg day with body weight exercises, TRX, and kettlebells). One day I will write a post of on one of my training sessions (thanks for the suggestion Kristina).
On Friday I participated in Race #1 (of 4) of the Crystal City Friday 5K series. I will share my race series goals and mini recap this week.
It was warm and humid – I was able to wear a tank top for the race.
I slacked a bit on the food pictures this past week. Here is a turkey sandwich I made with a pretzel bun I found at Trader Joes. Sooo good!
